Purpose
For the longest time I have envisioned a directory of people, much like a
yellow pages section of a phone book, which would list fellow hobbyists. Such a
listing would allow others to contact those in their immediate area as well as
looking up those who have skills or expertise being sought.
For instance, I might have just moved to a new area and would like to contact
someone who can give me a leg up on all the local frequency info. Or perhaps
I'm interested in monitoring railroad traffic so I'd like to contact someone
who has listed themself as being a veteran in this field of monitoring.
Another great reason to sign up is that it allows you to customize
various attributes of our site like the look and feel of the
Message Boards, etc. Signing up will also give you a chance to add
yourself to our News Wire e-mail bulletin which alerts you to
important radio-related news when it happens.
I think this resource has great potential and hope you'll join me in supporting

The one and only reason this directory is provided is to allow fellow hobbyists
to contact each other in the hopes that it will foster a greater sense of
community and maybe even to help our numbers grow.
The data listed here is totally voluntary and is as general or specific as you
care to offer. It also uses our encrypted e-mailer technology which allows you
store your e-mail address but it will be visible to no one but us. This
protects your anonymity and prevents spammer harvesting of addresses while
allowing you to remain in contact with other hobbyists.
