    Experience Pro
    Location Rural
Benefits 25-550 MHz, and full 800-1300 MHz coverage
                  AM, FM, WFM modes
                  AOR made, predecessor of AR2002
                  Step up from MX5000
Available used for fairly low price
Great image rejection (750 MHz 1st IF) 25-550 MHz only
Drawbacks Only 20 channels, 1 search range
Truly s-l-o-w search and scan, 4 to 5 per second
Backlighting is weak, small incandescent bulb one side of display
Membrane type keypad, not real buttons
Weird 3 pin hexagonal DC power input connector (AORs and some
early Hayes Modems used the same)
Downward facing internal speaker somewhat muffled
Image rejection 800-1300 MHz not so great, that front end is
                   broad, high pass filter only
IF is 45.025 MHz; images 90.050 MHz away come in at full signal
                   strength
which takes the intf rejection score down one notch
    Special Good sensitivity
                  Great image rejection
                  Switchable atenuator on back
