on the phone today and he agreed to answer some questions about current
company projects and "juicy" future ones as well! Stay tuned for the
write-up!
Jonathan also mentions that they "now have a range of high quality, low cost

Received e-mail from Takashi "Taka" Nakayama, KW6I, Vice Pres, AOR USA
who says
Since after we started our company in the US effective August 1, 1998, we
have been so busy everyday to talk with both our dealers and end users
over the phone or by internet to answer their questions.
...
It's exciting to know how people think about AOR and our products. Happily,
there is great demand for the AR8200B (US model), and people can't wait.
...
The AR8200B will be scheduled to be delivered mid. September. The US
version of the AR8200 (AR8200B) will have all updated modifications or
improvement when it is available to the US market.
...
We will start to provide repair service pretty soon. Please check our US
site of web page at www.aorusa.com.
It has been under construction, however, you can access it to send us an
e-mail.
1 Ed Brown informs us that after four years, Satellite Times will be breaking orbit
Forrest Joyner reports that Optoelectronics will stop making their OS456
board for the PRO-2005/2006 scanners. Word is that a key parts supplier is
unable to provide a chip necessary for production. Supposedly Opto has no
more stock of the OS456 so whatever might be at your local dealer could be
the end of the line! Forrest says that the OS456-Lite product will still
be available
Forrest is also able to pass along good news that the OptoCom has finally
passed FCC certification and that as soon as they receive the paperwork,
they can begin shipping! Thanks for the updates Forrest!
