They are made of a heavy duty cordura nylon, and have a clear plastic window in front to protect the display and keypad. In addition, they have cutouts for the function and menu buttons on the left side as well as a cutout for the computer interface jack on the right side, and a cutout on the back allows you to use the swivel belt clip that comes with the BCD 396T's.
