  • Maha products are carried by most amateur radio dealers like AES and HRO
  • A similar product is also carried by Radio Shack as the 230-0250. Mark Christian, Technical Support & Sales Engineer at Maha, wrote to inform me of the differences between the two units:
    1. The Radio Shack charger 230-0250 voltage range is from 6v to 12v while the MC-C777 is 4.8 - 12V
    2. The 230-0250 is more of a NiCD (Nickel-Cadmium) consumer-type charger as the MAHA MH-C777 is a NiCD/NiMH (Nickel-Metal Hydride) charger and will charge 4.8 - 9.6V from a vehicle's DC power source
    3. The 230-0250 can be returned within 30 days to Radio Shack for the warranty where MAHA will allow 1 full year for the warranty on the MH-C777
    4. The Radio Shack external thermistors cut-off temperature is quite a bit higher than the MAHA MH-C777 which is 10 degrees above room temperature which will allow the charger to safely shut down before the pack is affected or melts
