A few customers gave us a call
tonight at 1-800-USA-SCAN regarding this post
Chris and Rich.Unfortunately, Chris did not include an e-mail in his post so the only way we can get a message to him is through this board.
Our staff checked our inbound e-mail and telephone records and we do not show any unanswered e-mails or phone calls from someone named Chris over the last few days.
For your information, some of the inbound e-mails including some orders over the last in few days had a virus or a worm attached identified as "Snow White". Infected messages and orders were automatically purged.
Did you know, about 5% of all credit card orders processed at Communications Electronics are not approved by the card issuer due to many reasons such as the cards being over limit, expired, declined, not activated, reported stolen, the address information does not match what is on file with the card issuer or the authorization system at the card issuer is off line at the time of authorization. In many cases, the e-mail or phone number supplied on the order form is also not correct which prevents us from even contacting the person who ordered.
Chris, simply call us at 1-800-USA-SCAN up to midnight.
For your information, CEI is up to date on all Bearcat 780XLT orders. All orders have been processed and shipped except for distributor, dealer or customer orders on credit hold. If your credit card has not been billed and you think you have an order on file, simply call us at 1-800-USA-SCAN so we can promptly get you a Bearcat 780XLT scanner.
Our distributors, dealers and customers know when they place an on-line order at http://www.usascan.com with a valid e-mail address, our order processing system through UPS automatically sends to their e-mail address their package tracking number that evening after the order is processed. As we primarily specialize in emergency same day and next day shipments across North America we were shipping the new Bearcat 780XLT every day since December 22nd including Saturday, Sunday and Christmas. We can still ship a Bearcat 780XLT to you this Saturday, Sunday or New Years Day. If our dealers are out of stock, please e-mail cei@usascan.com or call us with the dealer name and phone number. A CEI account executive will follow up.
As you are in Ohio Chris, it might be more convenient to contact one of our dealers in Ohio. The Bearcat Radio Club through their Hobby Radio Stop web store sells our Bearcat scanners and our other CEI products.
Their Bearcat Radio Club web page is http://www.bearcat1.com. To find a Uniden retailer by zip code, call the dealer locator line at +1-800-297-1023 and select option 5.
Rich. I am sorry we are not on your list of "good" dealers. As
a contracted Uniden Master Distributor and having served over one million customers, we take great pleasure and pride in serving all our distributors, dealers and scanner owners over the last 32 years. We stand behind our services and benefits. On behalf of Communications Electronics, I extend my apologies to you for any inconvenience you feel our "bedside manner" may have caused. This would not be an example of our usual service, nor is it the service that we wish to offer to our customers. We welcome customer comments at cei@usascan.com. Your comments help develop the products and services CEI offers to everyone. We hope to have another opportunity to serve you more effectively. Thank you Rich for providing such a great web site to all our scanner users.
And to everyone...thank you for purchasing Uniden products from our distributors, dealers or directly from CEI in 2000. It is a pleasure and an honor to be of service to everyone.
Happy Holidays,
Ken Ascher WB8LIT
