I have had great luck w/ pre-amps. I use them for both base and mobile scanners. It brings in towns/cities, some quite distant, much clearer than without it. You may encounter distorted signals especially if your near a city (ie, pagers, radio stations etc), but i find the pros outweight the cons!! Good luck and happy scanning! |
