Spanning a trunked system across 2 banks.

In Massachusetts there is a statewide trunked system in place. It is primarialy used for the police, but there are others who use it as well. What I want to do is put the 70 or 80 freq's used by the state into two banks and trunk track them as one large bank. I would break them up into separate banks and scan them as two banks, but there are a lot of shared freq's across the state. for instance, most of the freq's used in the western part of the state will most likely be used in different parts of the eastern part of the state. I'm just trying to conserve memory as much as possible. With what memory costs, I dont know why Uniden didn't make this scanner a couple of thousand channels. With the bandwidth in use today and the way everything is going to trunked, 500 channels just isn't enough. If anyone has an idea on this or any experience with it, please let me know.

Thanks, Scott.
