Me again! Can you use the control channel while listening to a EDACS system? I'm pretty sure i have put all of the freqs in and set this thing up correctly. This is the first time i have used EDACS. From ch. 301 to 324 i have all of the new orleans P.D. programed.I am missing a lot of transmissions, the reason i know is while in search mode for a moment there is no transmission when i turn the trunk button of i can continuely press the scan button and all of the freqs. have activity. Press the trunk again still not as much. What did i do wrong? Also is it normal on this type of system when the id is on the screen and voice is heard at the end of the transmission there is a short beep and a instant drop off in signal. I can also hold on to a id it only stays there for a moment then lets go and starts scanning or searching with little or no activity. Thanks for being patient with me and please give me some pointers. Especially on the cc.
