I am using CC mode for a Motorola Type I system as well as Type II systems. The only trick is you must know the four channels they use for control channels. Many of the systems rotate the control channel among these four channels on a daily basis. One nice thing is you only have to enter four frequencies to monitor any size system up to 28 channels. This lets you put multiple systems of like type (works best with type II) in the same bank. Of course this only works when they are geographically seperated. For example I use CC mode for a local Type II system and can also have the control channels in the bank for another system in another area that I occasionally visit. The 780 happily finds the first CC and uses it. You also add the talkgroups to a sub bank or use the "scan" mode. |
