BC780XLT works great!

My non-technical assessment of the 780 after a few hours of use is that it outperforms the Optocom, PCR1000 and the hand held radios I have sitting here. The radio is clearly an advancement over what we've had previously. So far I've only run the thing off the antenna that comes with it.

I programmed it manually with a number of conventional channels, two Type II systems and one Type 1 system.

The radio works as advertised and it's clear that the folks at Uniden were listening when people indicated what they'd like to see it a scanner. It's sitting here on a desk near 4 PC's and an iMac as well as a multi-function laser/fax and it seems to be unbothered by all the nearby hardware except on one RR channel. That's more than acceptable as far as I'm concerned.

It seems like the priority for conventional channels does not function when the scanner is switched to trunk scan mode. Can anyone confirm whether I'm interpreting that correctly?

Thanks.
