SCANNERMASTER had a open house this fri/sat.

This is were i am getting my 780 from, and i
highly recommend you get yours there too,WHY?
,good service, good support, good people and a
30 day moneyback satisfaction guarantee.

The 780 was up and running with winscan-780
software running along side. VERY COOL!

You will love this radio, especialy if your a
MOTOROLA/EDACS fan looking to listen in on
I-calls & individual motorola private calls
aswell as patches.

The display is over-wellmingly informative,it
features 30-activity indicators instead of 20
that the 245 and other uniden models have.

Out of the 10-trunkscanlist,you can select one
from each list to be a priority talkgroup for a
total of 10-priority talkgroups per trunkbank.

Despite rumers of a slot for a digital board being
inside the 780,that is completly false,as for a
digital add on coming out, thats true but not
anytime soon, and will be a solderd-in add on.

The menues were easily accessable,by use of the
turn and push vfo knob.

The CTCSS/DPL tone search was slooowww to come up
with the proper tone unlike the 92/2067s instant
reader.Unless it was enterd manualy. NO BIG DEAL!

Overall,i found the 780 to be quite solid.

The CB search is cool! aswell as all of the other
pre-programed service searches,it even picked up
the new low power splinter frequencies with ease.

I especially liked the MOTOROLA control channel
only mode, once you enter a single MOT-control
channel, the 780 instantly begins trunking and
transmitting talkgroups. REAL SWEET!

Now you know as much as i do,what are you waiting
for?,jump in and enjoy. MERRY X-MAS!
