There is really no comparison. The biggest difference is that the 895 can monitor only one trunked system at a time, what the 780 can monitor many. The 895 can not scan conventional and trunked at the same time while the 780 can. The 780 has text labels for all frequencies and talkgroups, while the 895 does not.
