I am about to buy a bc780xlt, but I've heard that there are different "editions" of the scanner, the ones made later have less bugs, and are generally improved. How can I make sure that I get the latest one. Is there a editions # on the box? Are the changes significant (older and newer editions)? What is the name/# of the latest one? Does the computer connection make scanning a lot easier, is it really necesarry, or will I be fine without it? Does it add more features which the scanner does not have.
Sorry for all those questions, I just want to be sure I am getting what is the best.
