Attention Hams!
I can't monitor our 23cm repeater on my 780XLT, and neither
can my friend. I know, 1290 is close to the upper band limit,
but I mean we're sitting less than 400 feet from the repeater's
antenna! If the receive sensitivity is so poor at the upper
limit, why bother allowing it to be programmed? In my opinion,
Uniden shouldn't have even listed that frequency in their specs. I'm curious to hear if anyone else has noticed this deficiency.
Nonetheless, I wouldn't give up my 780 for twice what I paid!
