Priority problems.

Hi all,

I hope someone can give me some insight as to what I am doing wrong and maybe how to fix it.

I've got a Motorola Trunked system (type I) located in Bank #1.

I've programmed a selection of NON-trunked systems into Bank #9. I've chosen a priority channel for these non-trunked systems but it doesn't want to switch into priority mode unless I press the "Trunked" key (turning trunked mode off). Then it will scan these channels correctly.

My problem comes when I try to scan both banks #1 and #9. When I press the "Trunked" button, it stops on the control channel in bank #1 and doesn't move. In order to get going again, I have to turn trunking back on which turns off the Priority setting for bank #9. Why? Shouldn't these two banks be totally separate? Does this mean I can't scan both trunked and non-trunked systems (with a priority channel active) at the same time?

Thanks!

John
