I suspected that my problem was that the trunked systems were
busy. I was hearing nothing, however. To test this, I tried
to scan in the middle of the night, at a time when I knew both
trunked systems were relatively quiet. However, perhaps every
five minutes the scanner would leave the trunked systems and
scan the conventional channels.
