For the speaker, try a Motorola HSN8145. I have one in my work auto. It is connected to the 780xlt. The speaker is a Motorola product. It has excellent audio response, and I have ample volume. If you want to order one, you can find one on the Internet at:

The local radio shop installed the speaker in my work car.

As for an antenna, Antenna Specialists makes several models - as do other manufacturers. You can go to:

http://www.antenna.com/lm/cat/lmrpg23.html to see the MONR series. They are very good antennas. If you are only wanting one for an interior location (i.e., office, bedroom, attic, etc.), you can use the magnet mount model (MONR-51) on a metal (not aluminum) cookie sheet. The cookie sheet has sufficient area to provide a ground plane effect for the antenna. Reception should be far superior to that provided by the telescopic whip supplied by Uniden.

I have the MON-53 deck mount antenna on the trunk of my work car. The 780xlt works quite well with this antenna. No ignition noise, no problems of any type.

Hope this info is helpful.
