I had the same problem with the volume about a month ago. I could bang on the case and it would either do it or stop doing it (full blast audio). With the covers off the case, I could not make it do. I put covers back on and I could make it do it again. I too opened it and poked around with a plastic tuning stick, as did Wayne. I wiggled the plugs and blew off the board with compressed air. Problem now gone. I don't like that kind of fix, but I can not reproduce the problem any longer. I wonder what connection was actually the offending one? |
