Truly "uncut" would include all of UHF TV, so don't expect to get that in any BC780XLT.

Find a GRE Super Converter II to put inline and *VOILA* uncut 800MHz coverage.

You'll have a US FCC-approved 780XLT with full warranty. You can put the Super Converter on ANY 400MHz-capable scanner. And you won't get any of the overseas versions' anomolies (ie differences in trunking freqs/trunktracking techniques OR AC adapter design).

Point being that you shouldn't concentrate on importing a UBC780XLT. Just buy it from your favorite US dealer. And look around for that other toy, if you like.
