I haven't seen any messages about the squelch action, but it is absolutely driving me nuts. I haven't noticed this with other Unidens. And I've waited off a couple of weeks before posting this in the hope that others may post something first. Guess I'm the only one who's noticed this. The squelch threshold varies anywhere from the 3pm to the 2pm position. This means that if I'm scanning 400MHz freqs (where I have to turn up the squelch to the 2pm position), weak signals on other bands may clip. This is especially obnoxious if I'm monitoring weak 800MHz trunked systems!
I can live with the massive amount of hysteresis, but the various threshold levels -depending upon the band- should really be fixed by Uniden.
