Another thing you might consider is the fact that the 780 has 500 channels. It would be idiotic (nothing personal) to think that it could scan through 500 channels faster than your realistic could go through 10. i often carry my BC180 in the car with me in case something interesting happens so I can listen to 1 channel while the other scanner scans. when I have them both going and the 780 is scanning all of its banks the 100 ch 180 always hits into a channel first and then the 780 catches it. just my 2 cents and something to think about. |
