I've noticed a problem when using the TV Broadcast Service Search. When I begin the search, I can turn the squelch until I hear noise, back it up a little to stop it, but when I restart the search the scanner fails to stop on transmissions even if they are as strong as three bars on the S-meter. I can receive these stations by manually going through the search range, and they come in loud and clear. Has anyone experienced a similar problem? Also, is there any protection built into the scanner in case the ac adapter comes loose by accident on the back of the scanner? Just wondering........Thanks, Gary.
