You might try an 800 mhz antenna cut for the center of the 800 system you want to hear the most. This may be a time when a not so broadband design would work best, blocking out 900mhz paging, 800mhz cells etc. Had a MR8100 scanner. As an experiment, used attenuators, and filters cutting out 900mhz and above. That eliminated a lot of garbage that was "swamping" the front end and causing mixes. Made it a great radio! |
