I like the Discone. It's a great broadband scanner antenna.
It's VSWR is very low across all the scanner bands. This means
there is no loss on any frequency. I like the Diamond D130J
Super Discone. I feed mine with Andrew 7/8" hardline with a
RG400 jumper into the shack. I listen to signals 100+ miles
away in FLAT Florida. Works great on all the bands. 800 WOW!
Radio Shack makes a cheaper version. I hear the radials fall
off in the wind. (Bad crimp job)Phil
