I am eagerly awaiting my 780, due to arrive by 12/30, just in
time for the new year. Thanks to Lee from Lee Electronics!Honolulu is by far the worst place as far as intermod and RFI
goes. I have an amateur rig in my car with a mag-mount 5/8
whip antenna on the back, and when near large buildings and the
like, the S-meter does all sorts of weird things.
I'm curious as to how the 780 will perform in this environment.
With the triple conversion type receiver, it is my hope that
the radio will withstand most RFI in this town.
I will provide a detailed report when the radio comes to my
doorstep (and I'm gonna take off for that day to play with
my eagerly awaited 'Christmas present' to myself, from myself!
