Scan rate is irrelevant with regard to trunking performance in a scanner which monitors the control channel. For that matter, scan rate (non-trunking) is fairly unimportant, except as a marketing tool, in general.

The delay you are seeing is due to the scanner waiting for the response to the last transmission. It will be whatever value you have set the delay entry to for that bank. There is no way for the scanner to know that it has just heard the last transmission of a conversation and then immediately jump to the next system. I predict it will be several years before Uniden fields the PT (Psychic TrunkTracker). Until then you could set the delay to zero and eliminate any delay between systems. Of course, you no longer are trunk tracking, you are trunk surfing.
