The original product spec (which many seem to like to call an
Owner's Manual) indicated that the interface cable would be
supplied (just like the 245 was). It appears that Uniden decided
to forego the proprietary interface jack and use the standard
9-pin D-shell thus removing some burden on them to supply such
a cable. To keep costs down I imagine they decided to not ship
the needed cable.
