Scan Lists

I have some questions before I purchase a BC780.

Has anyone done side by side comparisons between the 780 and other trunk tracking radios to see how accurately it follows specific IDs in a scan list? I hear some trunk trackers miss activity when "scanning" IDs in a "scan list".

How well does the BC780 do when it's set up to break squelch on a specific CTCSS or DCS tone? How long does it take to break squelch? How much does it slow down the scanner when a frequency is active but it's not transmitting the correct tone and is being skipped over? How much is performance impacted when you have multiple frequencies set up like this and all are not transmitting the correct tone? I expect it will turn the scanner into a slug, but I'm prepared to be surprised.

Can you scan conventional and trunked systems at the same time? If it does, is it efficient?

I'd be interested to see if everyone has the same ROM versions.

And finally, I can't wait to hear how well the receiver works when compared to other venerable scanners i.e. sensitivity, intermod, dynamic range, etc. Talking about all the gingerbread is great, but...
