Well I can confirm the tone search is just like the bc 895 steps slowly thru the dif tones till it finds the right one.
Digital is faster.On SAME Weather ALert seems good,BUT I think and maybe just me it would have been NICE if the Weather Alert SAME function could be ON MONITORING while scanning.
What good is it if it can't alert you while scanning?
But your right atleast it does have SAME and you can enter upto 15 FIPS codes.
