First let me address item #2. If you are using the correct protocol the 895 cannot be overrun! If you are programming correctly and remembering that EVERY command from the 895 if followed by a then you cannot over run it. I know I developed Softrol. You send it a command then you process the response upon arrival. If you EVER do not process the response the scanner sends then YES you will immediately OVERUN the unit. On my distribution site at: http://www.geocities.com/dfw1417/ you will find a protocol document which includes the 245, 895, Pro-2052 and soon the 780 in 3 different formats for download.
