I am currently working on a set of utilities, such as Search Logging, Station Display, Backup/Cloning, and Remote Control (securely listen to and control your scanner from anywhere in the world!) on my 895. Unfortunately, I do not have a 245, and unless my financial situation improves dramatically (I'm caring for my Dad after his stroke), I am unlikely to be able to afford a 780 in the near future, so I have no way to experiment. Still, I would like to be able to make my utilities as compatible as possible.3 Questions.
1. Does anyone have a complete and up-to-date list of control codes for the 245, 780, and any other non-Uniden scanners?
2. The 895 is notoriously easy to overrun, requiring an explicit delay between characters, due to the lack of handshaking. Does anyone know if the 245 and 780 have the same limitation?
3. Do the 245 and 780 put out the "C" string from PM and MA commands in the exact same format? (ex. C001 F01625500 TF DN LF AF RF C00)?
If anyone is interested in my utilities, feel free to drop me a line. I don't expect them to stand up to the commercial programs like WinScan, ScanCat Gold, etc. But then again, they will be free!
