Discones are a good choice. Very wide band. Very flat VSWR.
Real good from 25 to 900+ MHz. Diamond makes a sturdy one.
The Radio Shack version is a little cheezy but if you are going
to keep it under the roof it might be OK. Same basic specs.
PS. Use good coax like 9913 or LMR 400. Your UHF & 800
reception will be much better. MUCH!Phil
