But the Radio's Spec sheets SAYS CONTINUOUS coverage between those frequencies EXCEPT the Cellular Bands and the VHF TV Band.CONTINUOUS means CONTINUOUS not Continuoous according to the US Band plan the we put in the radio. ICOM's coverage is continuous when they say continuous. AOR's coverage is continuous when they say continuous. So what is it that UNIDEN don't understand about the word CONTINUOUS?
Coverage should be CONTINUOUS to the RESOLUTION provided with the radio for ANY frequency I choose to enter from the keypad regardless of the BANDPLAN. Any one that I enter at the keypad should be entered, its not like I am searching a band or doing a service search I am entering 1 frequency from the keypad!
A Frequency which they say in the specs is one that IS TUNABLE!
I think its another glitch in the firmware. Speaking of firmware the RF command in the protocol for the 780 functions differ from the 895. The 895 returns an MD17 rotary tuned frequency mode when sending the RF command while the 780 returns an MD08 mode ID Hold??? This is a firmware issue also.
