I have the same symptoms you did, but I can't get it to work! I have a laptop with a PC Card modem using COM2, and a 9-pin serial port on the back, which I am assuming is COM1. When I push the connect button on COM1, it doesn't see the radio (and I have twice gone through all the settings and made sure the radio was in RMT). When I try to connect using COM2, it does exactly what "Chance" described. Maybe it's my cable? I am using a DB9 female/female "Direct Cable Connection - PC to PC File Trasfer" cable with a male/male gender changer on the scanner end. |
