The Uniden proprietary manual at paragraph 7.3 CTCSS, only tells you that you can assign a code using VFO or up and down arrow and assign it by using the VFO knob or select key.

Section 9.6 covers Tone Data in the Search Event where you can lockout a specific tone.

Keep in mind this was an early manual and subject to change.
